Christmas 2013

This year, we spent Christmas with just the three of us. Nothing special. Just a quiet day at home. It was really nice. We spent some time on Skype with each of our families. It was a good Christmas.

34 Weeks

Today, I am 34 weeks pregnant. (: Thank goodness. I am So ready to have this baby. I am scheduled to deliver January 6th, which is now less then 5 weeks away! I can't believe it! I excited and nervous to have two kids. (: I'm also excited to have a newborn around again. They just don't stay that small long enough! Don't you agree? Anyway, I've already been having contractions. For a few weeks now I believe. But that past few days they've increased in number. Not as many today but the ones I did have were fairly painful. My body is prepping for delivery. Adam and I both feel that he's going to come a little sooner then the 6th. But we'll see! Any bets on the due date? I hope to get some maternity shots done this weekend. So hopefully I'll be able to post those next week. But, for now, here's a 34 week picture from today. (:

Take Luck!

Another Birthday

I am now 24 years old. (: I had a good, simple birthday. We had the missionaries over for lunch, and we bought a small cake. I had Adam and the missionaries sing "Happy Birthday" to me. That was enjoyable. (: Adam and I were able to go on a date. We went and saw the new Hunger Games at the IMAX. That was fun. It was a really good movie. (: and, of course, I got a few gifts. (: So, it was good.

Thanksgiving 2013

This year I made the turkey. How did it go? You may ask. Well... It didn't thaw out as long as it needed to so while prepping to cook it, we had to thaw out the inside a bit more with hot water to get the neck out. My wonderful husband did that part for me. He thought he might become vegan after that experience. ;) after it was done cooking, we loaded up to go to our friends, the Alexander's, house for dinner. Once we started carving, we discovered that the turkey was, in fact, not cooked through. So, we threw the turkey back into their oven. We decided to start dinner so the other food wouldn't get cold. Mistake. We forgot about the bird. It over-cooked.

Beautiful isn't it. We still had fun. They have a son who's only a month older then Alister. So it was fun for them. (:

October 2013

Well to be perfectly honest, we didn't do a lot to celebrate Halloween this year.  But, that's okay. I think part of it not having any place to put decorations. We did however go to our ward Halloween party. Which was also a Chili Cook-Off. That was fun. I was going to enter a chili but I got there 30 minutes late. No biggie though. People still ate my chili and the pumpkin brownies I brought were devoured. (: so that made me happy. Hopefully next year we'll find the Halloween spirit.

I dressed as a lumber jack with a beer belly. Alister was a little monster. I can't upload those photos yet and I don't have any on my phone at this time. So, I'll try for that soon. We left the hat at church so one of the Elders has it right now. But here's a couple of my beer gut. Which I worked really hard on. ;) I also drew on a beard which is a bit hard to see. But I was told it looked pretty real. (:

Growing A Baby

Okay. So growing a baby has been harder this time around. Many of you know it was hard the first time. But, this time, I have more complications, which has classified me as high-risk pregnancy. This also means that I am delivering early. My due date was January 15th, 2014. But now, it has been bumped up to January 6th, 2014. We also learned that the baby is breached at the moment. So, hopefully he won't be at delivery, otherwise I have to have a c-section. Not something I want to happen... At all. But, what happens, happens. I'm going to work on encouraging him to flip around. Come on baby! Flip!

Blessed from Trial

Today marks one week until Alister and I head home. I'm, of course, thrilled! Yet... it will be much harder to say goodbye to my family this time. Spending this much time with them has allowed us to grow even closer as a family. It has truly been a blessing and an inspired event from Heavenly Father. I love my family dearly and will never be able to fully express my appreciation and gratitude for everything they have done for me and Alister these past few months. But, as much as I will miss them, it is time to go home. It is time to move on with our own lives. And I'm excited to see what lies ahead in Indiana. (:

I feel that there is so much more I could say, but I feel out of words right now. I'll probably come back later and write them down.

Until then, listen to the spirit. Follow The Lord. For he truly knows what is best. We may not see it right away, but the reason for everything will one day be revealed to us. So keep your faith high. Keep your ears alert. Keep your heart open. And, perhaps most importantly, keep your spirit clean. Life is so much better that way. (:

Called Away

Alright. Now to tell you where we are moving.

When Adam and I went to the temple, in hopes for an answer, we honestly thought the decision would be left up to us. What a weighing thought. But, to our surprise we each, individually, received an answer.

We had planned on going to the 4 o'clock session. Well we were running behind. We got to the temple around 3:50 pm. A couple of older women stopped us in front of the doors to ask if I could take their picture. I politely agreed, and took their picture with their disposable camera. That felt weird. Anyway. We only had about 5 minutes to make it to the session. We split up with plans to meet in the chapel. Pay attention to the time line. That is important.

Adam made it just in time for the session and sat down just as everyone was told to leave. Adam didn't see me at all and asked some workers to look for me in the dressing room. No one found me. Adam waited in the chapel until about 4:10 pm. Now, when Adam left there were three people waiting for the next session, the organist, and a worker sitting at the pulpit. Adam, thinking he had just missed me and I was in the session with out him, then spoke to a worker and left to do Initiatories. Now it gets weird.

I didn't get in there until 4:05 pm. There wasn't a soul in there. No one was waiting for the next session, the organist wasn't playing music, and there was no worker at the pulpit. No one was in the chapel. I waited around the lobby until about 4:20pm. I then thought Adam had gone into the session without me and spoke to a worker and did Initiatories myself.

Adam received his answer while doing Initiatories. Awesome.  I won't go into detail, because that's Adam's personal experience.  After Adam was done he went up to the Celestial room to wait for me to be done with the session... But I never showed up. So he went and got dressed.

I did not receive my answer until after while waiting in the lobby for Adam. I was looking at a painting of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, when the smallest voice told me, "Go to Indiana". Not even a minute later, Adam came out of the dressing room. (:

That's right people! We're going to Indiana! Fort Wayne to be exact. When exactly, not quite sure yet.   Most likely the middle of May.  We are so excited to start this new adventure at a family.

I bare testimony that the Lord has a plan for us.  He sends us where we need to be at the right time in lives.  He answers our prayers when we are humbled and ready.  We feel that we are not only being sent out to Indiana for ourselves, but for others.  We can not wait to meet new people and find out what services we get to perform for them and the Lord.  If you have ever prayed for an answer as to where to live in your life and received an answer, you know what a comforting feeling it is to know where the Lord wants you.  It's a different feeling when you have prayed and received an answer with your spouse.  What a blessing.

There is probably so much more I could say on this topic, but my mind is turning to mush.

So... Take Luck!  (;

Easter

Because we moved (to St. George for the time being) the day before Easter, not much was planned. I had planned a dinner a couple weeks before hand so that was done. But other then church, that's all really. We did however get great pictures of Alister. He know seems to know what the camera is, so when he sees you pointing it at him he gives a smile. (: so darn cute! Adam actually took all the ones of Alister, so that's his work. (: We hope you had a wonderful Easter. Always remember The Lord and his sacrifice for us.

Ask and Thou Shalt Recieve

Life has been full of twists and turns lately. And there had been one big question on our minds. Where are we going to move.

Our lease ends March 31st and we knew we didn't want to stay in this house. Sure it has great curb appeal... Or it did. Anyway, lets jump back, oh... Four months.

Back in November while driving home from Kanab on a beautiful fall day, Adam asked a life changing question. He asked if he could apply for a new job. One that was... Far away. I responded with a yes. What harm could come of it. It would be fun to see if he could get an interview. Little did we know on that car ride home, just how life changing it would be.

Adam applied for the job, and on the application was told that serious candidates would be contacted within two weeks time of the application. Well those two weeks went by and nothing happened. Three more weeks went by with no changing news. Adam had finally excepted that he was not getting that interview. Well just two or three days later, he received an email. He got the interview. What a delightful surprise! Well the interview was until the beginning of February. We had to play the game. No problem.

The interview came and it could not have gone better. Adam was the tenth interviewee in two days and the only one that the interviewer had liked. So, needless to say, he got a second interview. He just had that recently and they are going t fly he and I out for the third and final interview. We fly out April 18th.

Now, since we found this out, we have wanted to know, where are we wanted by The Lord. We have had this question for weeks. Well, on March 16th, we received our answer in the temple.

Now, our experience in the temple is a whole story of its own. So we'll discuss that later. The important part right now is that we received the answer to go. Now, I'm sure you knew that with reading this blog post. If the answer was to stay I would not have written it. We are needed i this far away place. What an exciting adventure.

I'm sure you are sitting on the edge of your seat, bitting your nails just waiting to read where this far away place is exactly. Well I'll tell you. In our next blog post! HA!

St. Patrick's

Well, this year we didn't do a lot for St. Patrick's but that's okay.  We had Lucky Charms and green milk for breakfast so that's fun and easy.  We wanted to play outside but it was windy so that was a bust.  But here's a few pictures.

Eight Months

Not a ton to update on, so here's a few pictures to enjoy.  :)

Seven Months

Oh my goodness.  Seven months old.  And he's spent almost the whole time being sick.  He got a cold and got better after about a week.  Then a few days later got sick again, so now he has bronchitis.  Super lame.  He handles being sick well though.  He's a brave little boy.  He's been eating mush (solids) a little before he turned six months old.  He loves it.  :)  He's liked almost everything I've given him.

Valentines... Gross

So, Valentines is actually on of my least favorite holidays.  But, we had a little, simple date anyway.  :) We saw a movie, Rise of the Guardians.  And went to a Thai and Sushi restaurant called Benja's.  And we're lame and didn't get any pictures.  So, this really is kind of a lame post.  Yep.

But really, Valentines is lame and stupid.  It's just an excuse women use to make their man do something romantic.  Then the men get all stressed to make it all special.  Romance should just come naturally and you should want to do it.  If you're having to force romance upon someone, then you might want to rethink that relationship.

Now, here's some Valentine Baby pictures!  :)  Our handsome little boy.

Six Months

So sorry for getting so behind.  Well, Alister turned six months old in January.  He was sitting well by this time.  At his appointment he weighed in at 16.89 lbs and measured at 27 inches long.  :)  Not much else to say really.

PICTURES!!!

New Horizons

My dear family and friends,
A new year is on the horizon. We've probably all made a few resolutions. If we're good and lucky, we'll accomplish one of these potentially life changing decisions. But, perhaps you haven't made any dramatic goal. Whether you have or not, I would like to invite you to a month to month challenge.

January's challenge: No Candy or Chocolate. Now, some of you may already know that I have a BIG sweet tooth. Now maybe you don't this problem. But hey! No candy or chocolate is good for you. Join me on this quest to a healthier life style one month at a time. I love you all. May the new year bring you luck, good cheer, and peace. Happy New Year 2013!
Love Corrinne
